Our Story – A Legacy of Innovation Since 2010

Island Glow was founded in 2010 with one simple vision: create a beauty experience unlike anything Central Virginia had ever seen.

​

At a time when spray tanning was still relatively new, Island Glow proudly became Central Virginia's very first Mobile Spray Tan Company, bringing professional custom airbrush spray tanning directly to homes, weddings, fitness competitions, photo shoots, and special events throughout the region.

​

Long before mobile beauty services became popular, we were traveling throughout Virginia helping brides, athletes, pageant contestants, dancers, and professionals achieve flawless, natural-looking spray tans.  That same spirit of innovation continues to guide everything we do today.

Over the past sixteen years, we've expanded from one mobile spray tan business into three boutique locations proudly serving Powhatan, Farmville, Midlothian, Chesterfield, Richmond, and communities throughout Central Virginia.

Every year, Island Glow hosts our annual charity golf tournament to raise money, collect donations, and increase awareness for local animal shelters throughout our region. Thanks to the incredible support of our customers, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, this event has benefited the Powhatan Animal Shelter, Cumberland County Animal Shelter, and Amelia County Animal Shelter, helping provide essential funding, supplies, and hope for animals waiting to find loving homes.
